Isaiah 54:2 « Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes. »
You finished the Daniel Fast. Congratulations! Now, before we close this Prayer Guide there is one last thing we must do together. Before you put this away, take a moment and pray over this school year. Think for a moment where you want to be spiritually by the end of June 2017. Now take a few minutes and try to write down what it is you see.
How do you plan to get there? John Maxwell always says, If you fail to plan, plan to fail.So what is your plan to get to where you want to be? Let me help you think it through.
On a separate sheet of paper, or on a document in your telephone, write down the names of each month from now until the end of June. Then write down under the month of June your goals for your life. This represents where you want to be spiritually by that time. (Please don’t just read this; DO IT! This exercise is important and it will help you stay on track during the year.)
Now, under the month of February, which represents the half way point, write down the half-way point towards your goals. Using the points of reference that God gave you during the fast, your half-way goals of February and your year goals for June fill in the other months.
Now you have a plan for this year. Come back to this blog regularly, and keep your goals in a place where you can refer to them regularly. Do not allow the work that God did in your life during this fast to be forgotten. Stay on track.
God is enlarging you this year. Dream big dreams. Dare to believe for great things. Be fully obedient in what He gives you. And persevere to the end.
