Prepare for His coming, united in faith

« I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? » Luke 18:8

In the parable of the unrighteous judge, the Lord Jesus asks this question, the same one that he asks our generation. The times we live in are going to get darker and darker, for the enemy of our souls knows that his end has never been so near. However, our beloved Lord calls out to us: Will His Church be united in faith in preparing for his coming, like the wise virgins mentioned in Matthew 25, or will she be asleep, numbed by distractions and the pleasures of the world, like the foolish virgins in the parable?

The times in which we live are also times of great confrontation between light and darkness, between justice and iniquity. If there is a time when God’s people are to be a voice and a light, it is in our century. But we’ll never be able to reach the level of faith that our God asks for if we do not increase our level of prayer and corporate intercession, while offering our lives as living sacrifices, knowing that the fire always comes on the sacrifice.

The pandemic has shown us that we as the people of God are able to mobilize in unity and in faith. But God wants to make every local church a permanent house of prayer, filled with his presence and the fire of his glory, as in 2 Chronicles 7:13 – the fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice, and the people of God saw the fire and the glory of God descend upon the house where they were gathered.

There’s another event in Acts 4:26-31 during a great threat against the church in Jerusalem. When the people gathered to pray, the place where they were gathered began to tremble. Something happens when God’s people come together in faith to pray and touch the heart of God. It’s time to realize the impact and power of the weapons that God has made available to us as a church. It is time for men to raise up holy hands, in order to see His reign come on Earth.

ACTION POINT: During the Daniel Fast, commit to participating in prayer meetings on Thursday evenings, either at the church building or while connected to the stream.

PRAYER TARGET: « Our God, our Father, we want to see your fire and your glory fill our church, so I commit myself to be a living sacrifice and to increase my time of intercession, united in faith with my brothers and sisters of the church, that your house will be recognized as a house of prayer, a place where we will see fire and Your glory fill our gatherings as we prepare for the coming of the Lord Jesus, a place where the Spirit and the Bride say :COME! »
